Short answer: on LivoDraft, Citation Studio, Make It Yours, Panel Review, Journal Finder discovery, the ISSN indexing checker and the cost estimator are free — whole tools, not a metered trial. There is no subscription. Writing a document costs ₹26 a page, paid once at download.
Also free: paper search across OpenAlex and Crossref, BibTeX and RIS import from Zotero or Mendeley, BibTeX export, and Clarity Refinement when you supply a valid Turnitin or DrillBit report.
Honest caveat: the ISSN checker and the cost estimator need no account at all. The others need a free account — it exists so your saved papers and documents stay attached to you. No payment details are asked for at signup.

There is no subscription. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to remember to cancel. If you generate one document and never come back, you pay for one document.
Most academic AI tools do offer a free tier. The difference is what that tier is: a metered sample of the same paid product, sized to run out.

Citation Studio’s claim detection and ranking are local heuristics; its papers come from Crossref and OpenAlex, which are free and public. Make It Yours and Panel Review are deterministic — no model call at all. The ISSN checker reads Elsevier’s own published Scopus Source List. Journal Finder’s discovery tier uses OpenAlex and DOAJ, with no AI in the loop.
Writing a full document is the one thing with a real per-use cost, because it genuinely runs large language models across every chapter. So that is the one thing we charge for — and we charge for it per document, because that is what actually costs us something. Charging a monthly fee for a citation formatter would be charging rent on arithmetic.
The same principle governs what we will not sell. LivoDraft does not offer, and will not build, anything that claims to make AI writing “undetectable”. Character-substitution tricks get flagged as integrity violations by modern checkers, and a viva panel still asks you to explain your own methodology. Make It Yours helps you genuinely rewrite in your own words, and every generated document can carry a signed AI-use disclosure certificate.
